‘Category’ is the top level booking configuration.
Here you need to define the type of accommodation you are selling – for example, self-catering cottages, apartments, camping & touring, glamping and/or bunkhouse.
Nothing at this stage should have an individual name (eg. Apple Cottage). If you only have one cottage to sell the Category title should read ‘Cottages’ for example.
What you put in your Categories will show up in the telephone or online booking process. You are able to create new categories or edit existing ones. Each category will display as a green box and by double clicking on any of the existing category tabs, a window will open which will allow you to edit the name of the existing category.
The next level down is ‘Units’ and this is where you need to go to put in your specific property names or further breakdown of the types of pitches you are selling if you are camping (see Units).
